The Tallboy CC frameset is the clean starting point for riders who know exactly what they want. Same new-generation chassis, same 130mm 4-bar suspension platform, same lighter CC carbon construction, just without a full build kit deciding the rest for you.

 

CC Carbon Frame : Light Is Back in the Mix

The new Tallboy frame drops over 300g compared with the previous CC version, bringing back the light, sharp feel that makes a short-travel trail bike so addictive. It’s still built with proper Santa Cruz durability in mind, but now feels more energetic when you’re pedalling hard, changing pace, or threading technical singletrack.

 

130mm 4-Bar Suspension : Supportive, Active, Quick

The big change is the move to 4-bar suspension. Santa Cruz chose it here because it allowed them to fine tune the Tallboy into something lighter, more supportive, and more composed than the previous layout. The result is a bike that pedals well, finds traction over rough ground, and stays controlled under braking.

 

Designed Around a 140mm Fork

The Tallboy frameset is built around 130mm rear travel and a 140mm fork, giving it that ideal fast-trail balance. Enough travel to keep you confident when the trail gets rowdy, but not so much that it loses the snappy, efficient feel that defines the bike.

 

Modern Details, Easy Ownership

You get the useful Santa Cruz details too: Glovebox V2 internal storage, top tube accessory mounts, integrated chain guide, geo flip chip, guided internal cable routing, threaded 73mm bottom bracket, UDH compatibility, Boost 148 spacing, and room for up to a 29x2.5" tyre.

 

Built to Fit More Riders Properly

The frame gets proportional geometry and stiffness across the full size range, from XS to XXL. Shorter seat tubes and uninterrupted insertion mean riders can run more dropper post, while size-specific rear centres help keep the handling balanced across the range.
